Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., later hours at their discretion.
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/D.O.E.
Reports To: Vice President of Teaching and Learning
Closing Date: Until Filled 
FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt

This position is located at 601 East College Drive, Winnebago, NE, 68071
 
Purpose of Position:
The Library Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing all functions of the library and is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Teaching & Learning. The Coordinator will ensure the library maintains high customer service to LPTC and the Winnebago community.
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports academic coursework with library resources as needed.
  • Responsible for the development and management of all library materials and services.
  • Develops resources for community library services in conjunction with appropriate tribal programs and organizations.
  • Supervises library staff, work-study students, and volunteers
  • Grant experience and management
 
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Work experience in academic libraries is preferred; experience in public, special, or school libraries is a plus. 
  • Ability to obtain a Nebraska Library Certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of library work experience preferred.
  • Effective communication, decision-making, leadership, management, ability to research, computer literacy, strategic planning, problem-solving, time-management skills, and Loc and Dewey competency.
  • Good community relation skills.
  • Possess have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Tribe’s insurance company
