Mary’s Choice hosts Annual Fundraising Banquet on October 15, 2024, Featuring Guest Speaker Brandy Meeks

Mary’s Choice’s largest fundraiser is back with the organization’s annual Giving Hope Banquet scheduled to take place Tuesday, October 15, 2024, featuring guest speaker Brandy Meeks. The event aims to raise funds to support local families who are pregnant or raising children.
Executive Director Dawn Grimes said the organization’s annual banquet is a great way for the community to become involved with Mary’s Choice’s mission which is inspired by faith to defend the dignity and worth of every person through advocacy and service.
 
“We provide over 400 families per month with baby items, clothes for the whole family and small household items for free,” Grimes said. “These families have overcome so many obstacles to bring their children into this world and we want to support them.
 
The event will take place Tuesday, October 15, 2023, beginning with the annual Memorial Mass for Miscarriage and Infant Loss at the Cathedral of the Epiphany at 5:00 pm. This annual Mass is provided for parents who have lost children due to miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, abortion and other infant fatalities.
 
The evening will continue at Country Celebrations Event Center, 5606 Hamilton Blvd, Sioux City, Iowa. Doors at 5:30 pm.
 
In addition to a dinner, silent auction and opportunities to donate to Mary’s Choice, the event will also feature guest speaker Brandy Meeks.
 
Funds raised during the event will be used to provide free services and material support to Siouxland families, including pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, options counseling, and local referrals, baby items, clothing for the whole family and small household items.
