Purpose of Position:
Little Priest Tribal College seeks an adjunct to teach one section of each of the following sociology courses during the Fall 2025 semester:
SOCI1010 Introduction to Sociology is an introduction to the basic principles of sociology, including the study of sociological research, theoretical perspectives, culture, socialization, social structure, social institutions, deviance, social inequality, stratification, demography, population, and social movements.
SOCI2150 Exploring Unity and Diversity course helps students increase awareness and sensitivity of commonalities and differences among people and acquire knowledge of social structure and inequalities. The course prepares students to move critically, actively, and effectively participate in an increasingly diverse and global society.

This position is not eligible for benefits and is hired on an as-need basis per student enrollment. Applicants are contracted as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Preferred candidates will have proven success in the following:
- Instructional experience, preferably in a tribal community college setting.
- Experience using technology in the classroom, including virtual, VTC, and online (asynchronous and/or synchronous formats).
- Documented training and/or experience using Learning Management Systems, preferably Canvas.
- Cultural competence in serving Indigenous students and/or other minoritized populations.
- Master’s degree in sociology or a master’s degree with at least 18 credit hours in sociology from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Must have a Nebraska Sate Teaching Certificate or Postsecondary Teaching Permit or be willing to obtain.
- Official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background screen.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
